What To Expect
I am the owner and sole photographer at Momentary Magic. I genuinely care and I want to help you create beautiful photos that you will treasure for many years to come and remember the photo shoot with warm memories and a smile.

My photo studio is located in my house upstairs at Tamarama, near Bondi Beach in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs. It is a large bright and airy room with the photo studio up one end and an area for siblings to play in the other.
I prefer to shoot in my studio at home as I have control over the consistent source of filtered natural light required to ensure the quality of photos I want to take. It is large enough to take photos with different zoom lengths and my backdrops and props are at my fingertips.
If you come to my home, you don’t have to worry about cleaning up but enjoy the change of scenery, while having on the spot access to my large number of beautiful drops, outfits and props. We have parking in our driveway and I am situated very close to beautiful Tamarama Beach at Bondi with excellent coffee shops nearby.
My studio is fitted with a change table, microwave, coffee making facilities and space for feeding your baby.
I only book three sessions per week, which means there is plenty of time for feedings, diaper changes and cuddles for comfort during the session. It also allows me to create a bespoke experience for each family so I can invest time into discussing your ideas and expectations before your session, so we can make sure I am the best family photographer for you.
My newborn session would usually take around 2 - 3 hours. I love working with soft and beautiful natural light when photographing your baby so I try to schedule my newborn sessions in the morning as babies tend to be more sleepy and it is when the light in my studio is best.
The room will be nice and warm during the session to make sure your baby feels comfortable at all times so wear cool and comfortable clothing.
Once you have booked a session, I like to involve you in selecting the style of props and colours you have in mind. Choose your favourite colours and I will suggest a setup for your little one, or alternatively, send me a photo of the space you would like to hang your photo and together we can look at colour palettes that would suit. There will be backdrops and props in the studio for you to see in person, but it is far more efficient and maximises the time that the baby is settled and content (ensuring the best photos), if we can move quickly between set ups if we have a clear pre-plan.
The session fee covers my time and talent photographing your baby, carefully selecting and editing your images one by one to ensure the best possible result.
Siblings, spouses and grandparents are welcome with no additional fee.
